I think that ultimately, "to heal" is mainly to become one (1) with life&existence -- not necessarly to become released from a handicap or impediment.
For (drastic, but clear) example: Somebody fights since 20 years with a cancer, and during his confrontation to death, he also starts finally to work in his inner and with his past, until to enter in peace with it and all persons there. He dies, because it finally was his moment to die, but he died heal, in peace, clear, with a tranquil and open consciousness, even happy.

So healing is less meaning that a discapacitated can miraceously stand up from his wheel-chair, to release from a deadly illness, or that the lost teeth grow again or an amputated organ, it has more to do with having consciously reached the oneness-spirit of that all. At the end it is the process of "awakening" spiritually; hence, needle&thread, pills, plants, cristals, moxibustion, acupuncture... - all that is not "healing" someone; 'healing' is the fulfillment of the spiritual realization.
(Wonderful understanding. I do healing sometimes but I used different methods to wake the person inner awareness to heal himself not to make others believe I am able to do the job of God or Buddha.-chow cheong king- 2 cents opinion)

All around the world, even the Pope has forgotten how to help those who need it most... Some live with so much gold, it could feed the world, while other live with little and still have the love to feed a country... I will never understand why our world has truned on it's own people.. Even now after the Storm Sandy, people are still waiting for help... So sad, not enough people with open hearts and mind to what is going on in this world.. We must stay positive and have hope for all who are suffering and pray they will get help. Much Metta ~

I agreed that Funds and donations can be better used for publishing booklets on Dharma, Buddhist teaching and doctrines; building schools and homes for the poor and needy; conducting free clinics for the poor and needy; giving spectacles to be give to those who lost part of their vision and sight; free lives liberation and to the true cause of helping mankind and animals. Better than using the funds to decorate the temples/extention renovation. The funds also use to setup for adoption on pets or animals.

Someone was asking me how to handle anger. He found that the more he suppressed his anger, the most explosive he became after sometimes. He lost control of his emotional feeling at time.
I have written and explained the element of anger many times.
I always tell people to treat anger or greed, or ego like a mouse and your mind as a cat and your true self, the heart as an observer. When the mouse is coming from its hole, it will look around before it can done any mischief. If the cat, the mind is mindful with awareness, it can spot the mouse. When the mouse notices the cat is watching it, it will quickly run back to its hole. The heart must always alert the mind to be more mindful at all time and both must work together as a team. Hence when you are asleep, your heart is always there will take over the duty. Your heart which will do the duty of watching your dreams, is known as a meditative method named the sleeping yoga.
As long as you practice awareness and mindfulness, you can eventually overcome your anger, greed and ego and transform them and all the defilements from the eighth consciousness into wisdom. Soon you will be awakened and known as buddha.
