DEC 29

Here is what Lord Manjushri says in the Avatamaka-sutra:
When a bodhisattva sees people who have lots of love, he should think," May all beings have lots of love and devotion to the Dharma."
When a bondisattva sees people with lots of dislikes, he should think," May all beings have the feeling of dislikes toward all conditioned phenomena so they will strive for liberation."
When a bodhisattva sees beings with happiness, he should think," May all beings be extremely happy by obtaining the wealth of great joy of buddhahood."
When a bondhisattva sees being with suffering, he should
think," May the sufferings of all beings be pacified by planting the root of wisdom in them. "

Even if we are not bright students or wise meditators, if we practice consistently, we can progress faster than those who claim to be scholars and propagators of wisdom.

Paltrul Rinpoche writes:
For a person who does not have diligence,
Neither intelligent, power, wealth, nor strength
will help him.
He is like a captain with a boat but no sail.

If we are diligent, even i we are simple-minded, we can reah our goal.
A Tibetan proverb says:
Scholars end up with empty hands in their armpits,
While dedicated people smash even challenges like
Mount Sumeru into dust.

Atisha, one of the greatest Indian Buddhist masters of the tenth century, wrote:
Whenever you mind is too high,
It is necessary to crush your pride
By remembering the instructions of the teacher.
Whenever your mind is too low,
It needs to have inspiration.
Whenever you face objects of desire or hatred,
See them as illusions and apparitions
Whenever you hear unattractive things,
See them as echoes.
Whenever hurt comes to your body,
Accept it as the result of your karma.

When some one has a plain and lucky-going-happy life your inner being will be happily sleeping there. Only those who had experienced and witnessed the hardships and suffering, will find the inner being awakened. Those who realised and felt the pains, death, hunger, without a home of the victims would like to know why. What is life? Who are we? And what is the meaning of living? So the search is going on. Looking around for a truth and answer to the misery of the world. They may find nowadays, there isn't any safe place to dwell in. Most of the countries are effected by wars and natural disasters like flood, tsurami, forest fires, earthquakes, drought, murders, recession, countries going bust and so on endlessly. Where is God and where is Buddha? Is there any help?
( Feel free to comment. )

I have read some very sad news about a 14 year old girl who was raped by 5 men and left to die. What are your thoughts on this Chow? Karma or free will?

Call of Nature to wake up the stupid government and its policy of the country. The body dies, but the soul takes a new body and lives again. It's an act of God. May God or Buddha gives her a better life in future. Correct me if I am wrong.
