The first step to access the still point is simply to quiet down. We are constantly talking to our selves. We spend our time preoccupied with past, which doesn't exist. - its already happened. Or we are preoccupied with t
he future. It too doesn't exist - it hasn't happened yet. As a result, we miss the moment-to-moment awareness of our life and barely notice its passing. We eat but we don't taste, we listen but we don't hear, we love but we don't feel. We spend our lives lost in our heads.
Living from the quiet of the still point being in the moment, which is always right here, right now. It's very easy to say, " Be here right now," but it's very difficult to be actually present.
In order to get to the still point, we have to keep turning inward. We have to be willing to return to the moment again and again, consciously and deliberately.
