AUG29.2

Gyalse Thogme ( 1295 -1369 ) has a heart of great compassion. He is compassionate to all: to inanimate things, and to animals, whether they are caring or harmful. Whatever and whoever he saw, he treated them as loving beings; he was a being
 of total love and compassion.
One day, after he started walking, he went outside and a little later came back naked and cold. When his mother asked why he was naked, he replied, " I gave my clothes to a being in the cold." His mother went and saw that her son had covered a frost-covered bush with his clothes and had placed small stones at the edges of the clothes so that they would not be blown away by the wind.
