The path of meditation is like remembering or rediscovering our original song. Through the deepenng of self-understanding, we reconnect with ourselves and remember all that has been forgotten. Perhaps we have never known ourselves at all, but if we listen inwardly, we may hear the beautiful strains of our long- lost melody.
( We have been here for aeons of past life. Once we know that who we are and what is our mission in this life time, we will know that our cylce of birth and death has come to an end.)

Ego is always singing to us, talking to us, guiding us to walk the wrong way and putting us into troubles. The one who sees is always sound asleep. We need to stimulate HIM with chantings and prayers so that he is sober enough to transform the ego into a useful means for us to sail across the ocean of suffering.

How do I deceive my Ego? I watch it with my eagle's eyes. The moment Ego creates worry, unpleasantness, sadness and weakness in me. I pretend not to know. While it leaves me for a while when I am doing my chanting, I walk over to the window facing the sun, I slowly release all these negativities through the window. I make my Ego tired by throwing whatever it can create in me. Nowadays, it becomes a little frighten of me and willingly to be my friend learning to be humble and talking less. Is this method suitable for someone, please use it?

Last night I was having a dinner at a Korean restaurant with two of my Tai chi students. It was a lasting minute decision, so we didn't invite anyone. The food was good and it had fulfilled my greed for food. While we were having a pleasant nice conversation, I noticed a change in one of my students' eyes, I could see a fire of anger burning and his hatred against something in his pair of eyes. W
hen he noticed that I was staring at him, the fire in his eyes subsided. I told him that I saw his furious Ego sticking out and that was the demon hiding in him always. So he asked," Whenever you are looking into my eye, my ego, the demon just vanished?"
" It is because my 'demon' is bigger and more powerful than yours, ha,ha."
I hope he can subdue his ego

The master used to say Karma rules, even the Buddha can not help others to change their karma. "Mind your own business. You can only tell the others who are in trouble to accumulate merits do good deeds and practice the Dharma. Help others to seek enlightenment before death falls upon them." His teaching is ringing in my ear all the times.

One day my friend brought his friend to see me. I saw a dark cloud hovering around his forehead. He was about 35 years old. I took his palm and looked at the lines. Straightaway, I asked him to buy more insurance policies for his family. He had two sons and a wife. I did't know whether he had done it or not. Half year later, my friend came to tell me his had a heart attack and died.
I related this story to my master and I got a strong scolding.
Nowadays, I am more cautious, I would follow my teacher's instruction to give guidance to people who are interested to walk a spiritual path.

greater social problems. AIDS and other potentially epidemic illnesses continue to ravage our population, revealing more and more the inadequacies of our clumsy health care systems. Meanwhile, environmental degradation and global warming threaten us.

er, just like a magnet- that is the Power of Dao ( Tao ).
" Dao" knows all things, which includes the past, present and future ( the omniscient ). "Dao" also possesses all the
power ( the omnipotent )- infinite power. " Dao" is the Way, the cosmological way.
In seeing the world, we should engage our intuitive mind (the " spiritual eyes" ) to develop our inner knowledge, to understand and share the greatness and significance of the universe.
All things begin in the " Dao" and end in the "Dao".

Whether in ancient or contemporary times, anyone should have their point of view and not force others to accept it. At the same time, one must possess the ability to tolerate different viewpoints of others. A truly tolerant person possesses the ability to tolerant the intolerant. Tolerant is different from accepting, which is to mean that one can tolerate a belief or a behaviour without having to accept it.

~ Dao De Jing, Lao Zi wrote,
The Great Tao flows everywhere,
( Like a flood) it may go left or right,
The myriad things derive their life from it,
And it does not deny them.
The Great Tao flows everywhere,
( Like a flood) it may go left or right,
The myriad things derive their life from it,
And it does not deny them.
When its work is accomplished,
It does not take possession.
It clothes and feeds the myriad things,
Yet does not claim them as its own.
Often ( regarded ) without mind or passion,
It may be considered small.
Being the home of all things, yet claiming not,
It may be considered great.
Because to the end it does not claim greatness,
Its greatness is achieved.
It does not take possession.
It clothes and feeds the myriad things,
Yet does not claim them as its own.
Often ( regarded ) without mind or passion,
It may be considered small.
Being the home of all things, yet claiming not,
It may be considered great.

Its greatness is achieved.
