One day, my tai chi friend told me how her son gave up everything that he had inherited from his very rich father and followed a Taoist master to practise the spiritual way. He used to stay in Hong Kong lived a life like a lord, having songs, women and wine. He would spend his time and money until past midnight before he went to bed and woke up very late in the morning. He had a few big houses in
Kuala Lumpur and Singapore as well. I had been to his house in Kuala Lumpur once. He was a not an easy person to deal with because he had such a very big ego.
One day, while he was in a coffee house having his meal, an old traditional China man approached him. This China man, became his master later, told him that someone, a black magic master had put a wire winding round all his intestines and he would die soon. He used to feel the pain in his stomach for more than a week. But his doctor, after x-rayed, could not find any fault with him. The old man continued to tell him that he could save his life but he must promised to be his disciple and to give up all his possession and lived a poor life. My friend had doubt with his China man. Straightaway, this man touched his stomach area and pulled out a rusty wire from his belly. The rusty wire was long and smelly. He kneeled down and became this man disciple. He gave all his wealth to his brother and followed this man back to poor hut to practice the spiritual art. Later he helped to save many people in the rural areas of Malaysia. This young man had also taught me his way of meditation. I was just fortunate to know him and many other masters.

While he was was preoccupied in sweeping, when suddenly a pebble struck a bamboo trunk and made a clear, ringing sound. The pebble was alive; the bamboo trunk was alive. And the sound was living, too. Shapes, colours-everything right and left, everywhere, was full of existence. And he heard the voice of existence.

One day I was called into my Tai Chi Master's room. My Tai Master Mr Huang wanted to know the level of my understanding of Tai Chi art after I had practising for so many years. He was about 75 years old or more. When I touched his arm in pushing-hand, I was just lifted up in the air and found myself landed on the sofa. So I quickly took this rare opportunity to ask him a very important question.
I asked," Master, I could see that none of us, your students have acquired 10% of your art. What would happen if you leave this world? Your Art is vanishing."
My master answered," All these art like Tai Chi, Taoist spiritual art and even the wisedom of all other forms are like energy and they can not be vanished because they are stored in the banks of the cosmos. For those students who make an effort to work harder, at a certain high level of practice, they can reach and open the cosmic banks to aquire the wisdom or any of the arts they wish to attain. If you work harder, by the time, you reach my age you are able to apply the Tai chi or any spirtual skills in more efficient way."
Of course, at time, I could not understand what he had told me. Only recently, as I grow older, his voice is ringing at my hear to open up the banks of the cosmos. That mean to say, I need to work even harder. I used to tell this story to my students in case I may leave this world in a sudden.
