When we are free of mental concepts and our senses are awake, the sounds, smells, images, and vibrations we experience connect us with all life everywhere. My simple life is unfolding and intense, mysterious and beautiful. We belong to this world as a whole.

It's hard to know whether to laugh or to cry at the human predicament. Here we are with so much wisdom and tenderness-without even knowing it- we cover it over to protect ourselves from insecurity. Although we have the potential to experience the freedom of a butterfly, we mysteriously prefer the small and fearful cocoon of ego.

Sometimes, when someone would come to her with their troubles, she would laugh and laugh. She couldn't stop laughing. Finally, she would say, " This problem you are facing is no problem at all. It is because you think, 'This is mine' It is because you think, 'There is something for me to solve.' Don't think this way, and then there will be no trouble,"

Only our searching for happiness prevents from seeing it.
It is like a vivid rainbow which you pursue without ever catching,
or a dog chasing its own tail.
Although peace and happiness do not exist as actual thing, or place, it is always available and accompanies you every instant.

All of us suffer from pain one way or another. Pain can become an antibiotic. It is a medicine to cure future pain. If we can be positive in thinking, then this suffering sea is not fearful for us to swim across. We can cheerfully swim together to the Pure Land.
