AUG4.7

" Beside teaching us Tai chi, you practice Tai chi and breathing exercises everyday. What could be a reason?" My student wanted to know.
" Well, I need to evaluate my physical condition and make sure that I am fit to teach all of you. At th
e same time I need to heal patients who are ill. Sometimes friends from overseas need to me to help them to solve their problems. Therefore I need to be healthy and fit at all time"
My master used to say, "Practising Tai Chi is the same as meditation, you need to aware of your mind and physical well beings from moment to moment. What will happen if someone come to challenge you in a combat. You cannot say you are sick or weak. Once your student knows that you are a weak teacher, you have to close your center. No patient will come to see you."
Of course in the past, there were people coming to challenge the Kungfu Fu masters. I also encountered a few cases of other Taichi masters requesting to do pushing-hands with me. However I was lucky to escape all these unnecessary problems due the grace of Buddha. But in the modern society, under a strict rule of the government, you hardly find anyone coming to the center to give trouble. Hence it is necessary to do some forms of exercises, taking the right kinds of food and having enough of rest and sleep. Meditation is still the best and it is a must.
